Snorkeling in shallow waters off of Key Largo, Victor was eclipsed under a looming shadow. On the sand floor beneath him, there was a silhouette of a figure he had only seen in research books; a very large hammerhead. He looked up and the ominous fish which seemed unmoved by the underwater observer and it continued on. “He knew I posed no threat to him and I knew he posed no threat to me; he was protecting Me.”, Victor recalls, Victor created this piece inspired by that close encounter. The shark is made of solid 14k Gold and has two cabochon Blue Sapphire eyes. Its clasp is a gold marine shackle, screwed in by hand.
